Latin Name: Brassica carinata
Days to Maturity: 50
Description:
A farm favorite here at Feral Farm! This Ethiopian variety is technically a mustard, but leaves are hearty like kale and lack the biting pungency of most mustards. The texture is tender, and the flavor is wonderfully rich, nutty, and mild. Excellent eaten raw, lightly steamed as a wrap, or cooked like true kale. Nutrient dense. Cold and drought tolerant, best grown in spring and fall.
