Growing Practices: No Pesticides No Herbicides No Fungicides No Synthetic Fertilizers

Latin Name: Allium sativum

Days to Maturity: 240

Description:

Purple striped turban similar to Basque, though smaller in size, more fiery in flavor, and longer storing. Originating from the Republic of Georgia. Average 8 large cloves per head wrapped in crimson red clove wrappers. Enjoy or plant by December. What Red Janice lacks in size, it makes up for in flavor! Our team found it to have sharp, spicy, full flavor when raw mellowing to “nutty, warm, and earthy” when roasted.

Growing Tips:

Break into cloves and plant 6" apart in all directions in the fall. Mulch in areas with cold winter and/or dry climates.
