Latin Name: Citrullus lanatus

Days to Maturity: 90+

Description:

This is a diverse mix of watermelons that have done well for me in North Florida. This grex is in its 3rd generation since I planted it three years ago. I have added some other types along the way. It produces an extended harvest with the earliest melons ripening in about 90 days from planting and later melons continuing to ripen for about another month. Pictured here is one of the later harvests and I selected saved seed from the sweetest, tastiest, and nicest sized melons. All pink or red-fleshed with varying wall thicknesses. I plant in May, June, and July for extended harvests. They need good water to size up, which happens naturally without irrigation during the rainy summer months here.
