Growing Practices: No Pesticides No Herbicides No Fungicides No Synthetic Fertilizers

Latin Name: Cucumis sativus

Days to Maturity: 61

Description:

Suyo Long is crisp, sweet, flavorful and productive, with fruits staying tender up to 15 inches. We haven't offered it in several years because we've been so focused on high downy mildew resistance varieties. But Suyo Long has moderate to good DM resistance - better than the vast majority of cucumber varieties out there, and it really is a good cucumber. We have grown and selected our strain for several years - for fruits that don't have skinny necks. Fruits are generally curved, but will grow straight on a trellis. Good as a slicing cucumber, or for pickling if picked small. 35 seeds/g. Grown by Care of the Earth Community Farm.

    • 55 days in summer in Virginia. I think it would work for you if you are not in an area that has a lot of fog and mist from the ocean. Its about a week later than Marketmore 76. Edmund for CWSG
