Tags: Certified Organic Heirloom Open Pollinated
Growing Practices: No Pesticides No Herbicides No Fungicides
Latin Name: Capsicum annum
Days to Maturity: 65-70
Description:
Sturdy plants grow to 24 inches and bear incredible loads of fat, 2-3 inch fruits without breaking or falling over under the truly impressive load. Jalapenos are very versatile peppers and are typically picked green, although they can be left to ripen red at which stage they will be considerably hotter. As the name implies, green fruits are ready for picking in as little as 65 days after transplant. We love featuring jalapenos in the traditional pickled Mexican condiment escabeche.
