Latin Name: Solanum tuberosum
Days to Maturity: 90
Description:
These stunning spuds will bring wonder to your table. With thin, deep purple skin and deep purple flesh they are colorful, all-around eaters.Bred with disease-resistance in mind, these uniform, determinate taters seem to be shade tolerant are just such fun!
Story of this Seed:
My original stock came as an accidental replacement; they were unlabeled and it took me almost two years to identify them! Now I have my own stock and I've enjoyed experimenting with their ability to grow in a variety of soils and micro-climates.
Growing Tips:
I use a thick mulch method on this variety and they seem to respond really well. Planting Anise Hyssop to attract Colorado Potato Beetle predators has been a real plus, too.
