Description:
Pineapple Crush is a very productive cultivar. When we grew fruit for sale to restaurants this is the variety we grew for yellow/white fruit. The fruit is a pale yellow at full ripe and very soft. We think it is sweeter than the red varieties. There is a strong wild aroma and a hint of pineapple flavor. An excellent cultivar.
Story of this Seed:
We purchased seed of this cultivar in 1991 from a nursery in New England and have been selecting, growing and saving seeds since then.
Growing Tips:
Surface sow and keep moist until germination. Germination temperature 65 - 75F is best. To increase production sow 3 - 5 seeds per cell or small pot to start with a larger clump.
